Passionate About Inspiring Others

My interest in leadership and corporate culture dates back to my college education and early career. As an undergraduate and as an MBA student, I concentrated in Management & Organizational Behavior. My first job out of college was managing an outside field crew at the phone company and I continued managing people from that job forward. My most satisfying career achievements have been related to building collaborative and productive teams and creating an environment where employees outperform their own expectations.

 

After forty years of management and executive roles including P&L ownership, I decided to transition into coaching. As part of that transition, I attended Northwestern University’s ELOC program for leadership coaching. My extensive experience in the workplace,  coupled with the learnings from the Northwestern program, has enabled me to create my coaching program dedicated to guiding others to develop their leadership skills, build high-performance teams, and set the stage for their team members to achieve and exceed their goals.

I feel particularly well equipped to work with those people in a leadership role who struggle with the soft skills related to managing people. I have extensive experience with the development of those skills such as team building, collaboration, conflict resolution, employee development, performance management, delegation, and change management.

 

​In addition to my work experience, I have had the privilege to be a volunteer coach for students of all ages. I have coached and mentored students at Babson College in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. I also currently serve as an instructor at Girls with Impact, a mini-MBA program designed to equip girls, ages 12 to 18, with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become the leaders of tomorrow. In addition, I am a mentor at Flare Education, a program designed to bridge the opportunity gap for underserved high school students.
